Takeuchi-san is a genius with swimsuits. She just comes up with the most kawaii ones! I also love kimonos. One of the best things about Japanese culture ::sigh::.
These kimonos go with the "cute" standard, and then some. The colors are all of each Senshi's aura, but Michiru and Usagi's are a little confusing. The colors on the kimonos match well, and it's cut nicely. The flowered obis, or sashes, look cute. Makoto's stands out the most, and I think the color looks good on her, and the detailing is not overzealous. In my opinion Haruka's neckline shouldn't be so deep, because then it looks like a regular, baggy blouse.
As always, another cute collection of swimsuits. Let's start from the left and work our way across. While it's rare to see Haruka in a bathing suit, she looks very sporty in this one. The colors are good, and the light blue places on the bikini make it interesting. Michiru's reminds me of an orca whale. The lines are very smooth, and it's in black and white. While it looks good in Michiru, I doubt I would ever wear something like that. The vertical split of colors bothers me. Rei looks ever classic in the her one-part swimsuit. The three little spaghetti straps on the shoulders are cute. Ami's is also something classic, the generic bikini with tied sides. Hotaru's is cute, but in my opinion the straps on the back are too skimpy for little kids. Usagi is the one that's not mainly black. It's not white, either, more like a cream that looks really good on odango-atama. Now Chibiusa's is extremely cute. Thick straps tied on the back give her that classic kid look. The thin white line on Makoto's is exactly like her. Understated, but sporty and fitting. Minako's is also another one of those cute bikinis. The black and white stripes, the flower, the hat, and the sunglasses make it very playful and cute. Setsuna's is a toughie. At first I was SHOCKED at seeing that fishnet on her top. It's also kinda strange how it trails out like a cape behind her. After a while, your eyes get used to it. I'm not sure what to call it. Daring, inventive, insane?
More swimsuits! This time they're more generic, and of one color. The only one-piece suits I see are Makoto, Hotaru, and maybe Chibiusa and Ami. The colors all match, nothing scary or anything. Makoto's and Setsuna's look like they were made out of the same piece of fabric, however ^^;;. The flowers on Makoto's are a little distracting and messy. The crimped top on Chibiusa's is soooooooo kawaii! I like the rose and green colors of Usagi's and Minako's. It looks really good on them. Now if I could only see Rei's and see what it's like...
